The German surfer Tim Elter, born and raised on the Canary Islands, loves to travel the world searching for perfect waves. While some people seek refuge in their phones, others search for it in the most remote places on earth, making unforgettable memories.
In this short film, the 19-year-old travels to Indonesia with his friend and filmmaker Sebastian Bechtel to capture the astonishing landscape and waves the Mentawai Islands offer. Dealing with unpredictable weather conditions and overwhelming expectations, it showcases a young surfer's emotional roller coaster ride.
